MICHIGAN DISTRICT OF KEY CLUB
COMMITTEES
The Michigan District has five committees led by our Committee Chairs: Kiwanis Family Relations, New Club Building, International Partners & Projects, Events, and Membership Development. Committees work throughout the service year to develop resources, plan events, promote service initiatives, and strengthen communication across the district. Each of these committees have a focus, as in the descriptions below:
KIWANIS FAMILY RELATIONS
The Kiwanis Family Relations Committee focuses on strengthening connections between Key Club and other branches of the Kiwanis family, including K-Kids, Builders Club, Circle K, and Kiwanis. The committee works to promote joint service projects, build mentorship opportunities, and encourage long-lasting relationships within the Kiwanis family.
The New Club Building Committee focuses on expanding Key Club across the Michigan District by identifying potential schools, connecting with advisors, and supporting the chartering process. The committee works to ensure that more students have the opportunity to join Key Club and experience service leadership.
The International Partners & Projects Committee promotes Key Club’s official partners such as UNICEF, Thirst Project, and Erika's Lighthouse by creating resources, campaigns, and initiatives that encourage clubs to support these causes through fundraising, advocacy, and service.

EVENTS
The Events Committee is responsible for planning and supporting major district events, including Fall Rally and the Service Leadership Conference. The committee helps coordinate logistics, create engaging programs, and ensure that events run smoothly for all attendees across the Michigan District.
The Membership Development Committee focuses on growing and retaining membership across the district. The committee creates resources, plans initiatives, and supports clubs with recruitment strategies, engagement ideas, and tools to enhance the overall member experience.
