CHARTERING
a New Key Club
WHAT IS KEY CLUB?
Key Club is an international, student-led organization with 245,000+ members that provides its members with opportunities to provide service, build character and develop leadership.
PETITION TO CHARTER
Complete the petition and the member roster and use one of the following methods to officially petition to charter your club.

1. FIND A SPONSOR
Your sponsoring Kiwanis can provide you with a lot of support
(logistically, financially, etc.)
The Kiwanis President and Secretary will sign off on sponsoring your club.
The Kiwanis will delegate one of its members to be your Kiwanis advisor, who will be the point of communication between the Key Club and the Kiwanis.
Key Club members will be invited to the Kiwanis club meetings, where they can also ask for monetary support from the Kiwanis when planning large-scale events and service projects.

2. SCHOOL AGREEMENT
The Principal and school-appointed Faculty Advisor sign off on the Petition.
A Faculty Advisor will:

Advise and counsel the Key Club, attend all meetings of the club, and ensure the club abides by the regulations of the school and all other local, state/provincial, and/or federal laws

Ensure the Key Club conducts service-related projects and activities within the school and community
3. STUDENT LEADERS
The President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer need to sign to indicate full acceptance of leadership and to adopt the bylaws (which they can amend).
4. MEMBER ROSTER
Gather a minimum of 15 members interested in the Key Club cause to be the initial members. They will need to fill in their information on the roster as well as pay their dues, which you will mail to Kiwanis International along with everything else.
PRICING
Reactivation: $23 + dues
Chartering: $400
Waives dues for first year
