Key Club is the world's largest and oldest student lead high school service organization and the Mighty Michigan District is just one of the 33 districts that make up Key Club international. Key Club is the largest part of the Kiwanis family and we are continuing to grow. For more information on Key Club International, please visit keyclub.org.
The main aim of Key Club is help create the leaders of tomorrow through the experienced gained in serving to our communities today. The members of the Michigan District complete thousands of service hours every year and participate in various leadership conferences. In fact, in July 2013, at the Key Club International Convention, the Michigan District was chosen to help manage a food packaging with Kids Against Hunger that will provide 1,000,060 meals to children in both the United States and Haiti.
Key Club is almost entirely student run on club, division, and international levels with guidance from experienced servant leaders in Kiwanis. These adults facilitate the logistics of running the club/districts and provide us with important advice as we make decisions on behalf of our fellow members.
Our members are the most important part of our organization. Being a member of Key Club international is where students are provided with the leadership skills and service opportunities to improve not only their own lives, but the lives of those in their homes schools and communities.
The District level is where all the clubs within a district can come together for even bigger service projects, unique experiences, and to build friendships that will last a lifetime. Their are various district events your son/daughter can attend; however, their will need your full support to do so.
This is where over 270,000 Key Clubbers from 38 countries come together to share and celebrate all the amazing opportunities this organization has provided them. The international board provides districts and members with the resources they need to succeed and unique opportunities to our organization.
